Being a pescetarian isn’t as hard or puzzling as most people assume. I normally receive an inexplicable or perplexing look when I mention this fact of my life. I have to explain what the term implies. So, my pals call this term “fish-eatarian” which doesn not draw the bewildered looks. But certain people still ponder & question why did you stop consuming meat? Well, why not?
The array of incredible fresh produce of seafood and vegetable options are “Herculean”. In addition, don’t get me started on the health benefits associated for a diet without meat. A pescatarian diet eliminates all meats except fish, allowing you to enjoy the nutritional and culinary rewards of seafood. In addition, fish is high in protein but low in fat and calories. I have been a pescetarian for almost 10 years and its pretty darn good.
Based on my research mollusks, squash, pumpkin seeds, nuts, beans, pulses, dark leafy greens, dark chocolate provide a decent supply of iron.
However may I state that I adore cooking with meat and have no reservations when people eat meat. In fact some of the easiest dishes to cook are my lamb yoghurt based gravy & a feisty green chicken broth, which I may share later on this blog.
